Subash Dushanta Rambhawan, age 39, of Oxford, formerly of Queens, NY, the beloved husband of Reena Mahabir Rambhawan, entered into rest at his home on Sunday, July 29, 2012 after a long illness surrounded by his loving family. He was born in San Fernando, Trinidad on July 15, 1973, son of Leela Mohan Rambhawan of Queens, NY and the late Krishna Rambhawan. Subash was a member of the Restored Church of God of New Rochelle, NY. He was employed as a Welder for the TSC Steel Construction Company of Westbury, LI and had worked for the company for nine years. Subash loved music, video games, was an old movie buff, enjoyed the history channel and most of all reading the Bible. He loved spending time with his family and many friends. Subash's loving family in addition to his wife Reena includes his cherished daughters Jennifer and Julia Rambhawan of Oxford, his three brothers VJ Rambhawan of Trinidad, Billie Boban of Queens, NY and Gus Boban of Trinidad, his two sisters Veena and Veejia Rambhawan of Trinidad and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Subash's life will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 12:30 pm at the Cornerstone Assembly of God, 656 Oxford Road, Oxford with the Rev. Christopher Willis, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00 am until 12 noon at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour. Memorial gifts in memory of Subash may be made to the Hospice At Home, Oxford Hospice Team, 84 Oxford Road, Oxford, CT 06483.
