Gail Elizabeth Allen, age 56, of Oxford, entered into rest on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Sharon Hospital. She was born in Waterbury on August 29, 1955, daughter of Grace Smith Allen of Oxford and the late Kenneth Allen. Gail attended the Oxford United Church of Christ-Congregational and was a former employee of the State of Connecticut. She was a graduate of Seymour High School and had attended Western Connecticut State University. Gail enjoyed horses and was an avid motorcyclist. She was a former member of the Oxford Grange and loved being with her family and many friends. Her loving family in addition to her mother Grace includes her two brothers Roy Allen of Seymour and David Allen and his wife Mary Ann of Oxford, her two sisters Janet Allen of Cheshire, MA and Joann Williams and her husband Robert of Oxford and her two cherished nieces Amanda and Emily Williams of Oxford. A Private Graveside Service in Celebration of Gail's life will be held at Southford Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives may call at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St (RT 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
