Laura Lynn Orr, 49, of Seymour, entered into rest on January 25, 2012 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. She was born in Orlando, FL on September 19, 1962, daughter of Patricia Ann Drew of Seymour and George Haviland of Texas. Laura had worked as a waitress at the Sandwich Man in Seymour for many years. She was an avid lover of animals and nature. Survivors, in addition to her mother and father include one daughter, Cassandra Ann Orr of Seymour; one brother, Daniel Haviland of Stratford; one sister, Dawn D. Sotir and her husband, Tim, of Oxford; her nephew, Tim and niece Brynn and her beloved four-legged friend, Lily. A Service in celebration of Laura's life will be held on SATURDAY, JANUARY 28, 2012 at 10:30 am in the chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (across from Klarides Village), Seymour, with the Reverend Russell Lesiw, officiating. Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home from 9:00 to 10:30 am. Interment will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour.
