Taffield (Butch) W. Kluczinsky, age 97, of Oxford, the beloved husband of the late Helen Menartowicz Kluczinsky, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. He was born in Oxford on November 3, 1914, son of the late Bartholomew and Cecelia Swatires Kluczinsky. Butch was a Union Plumber-Pipefitter and was a local Oxford Dairy Farmer during his lifetime. He was a lifelong Hawley Road, Oxford resident. Butch was an avid New York Yankees fan, participated in stock car racing at the Danbury Stockcar Arena, enjoyed snowmobile riding, was an avid motorcyclist, loved being outdoors hunting and fishing and enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Northville, NY. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Butch's loving family includes his devoted son Robert J. Kluczinsky, Sr. and his wife Irene of Oxford, his two cherished grandsons Robert J. Kluczinsky, Jr. and his wife Deborah of West Haven and Michael Kluczinsky and his wife Kelly of Watertown, his cherished granddaughter Michele Kluczinsky of Milford and his cherished great grandson Mason Kluczinsky. He was predeceased by his beloved brothers Simon, Andrew, Lt. Colonel Vincent and Joseph Kluczinsky and his loving sister Mary Steinis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 10:00 am (DIRECTLY) at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Rd, Oxford with the Rev. Dominic Valla as Celebrant. Interment in the family plot at St. Michael Cemetery, Derby will follow. Friends and relatives may call at the Miller-Ward, Funeral Home, 260 Bank St (RT 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour on Thursday February 23, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
